• What is UWTV?

UWTV is an award-winning television channel brought to you by the University of Washington. We offer original, non-commercial educational programming — 24 hours a day, seven days a week, on air, online and on the go. UWTV reaches nearly 2 million households in Washington state through cable and television. UWTV programs are further distributed through ResearchChannel, a consortium of universities and research institutions that contribute educational programming broadcast to a global cable and satellite audience of 40 million. ResearchChannel was founded by and is hosted at the University of Washington.

UWTV is on YouTube and is part of YouTube EDU, the educational portion of YouTube. UWTV videos are also available through ResearchChannel’s iTunes U site.
