Cochlear Implants for Hearing Loss
The first thing Kenneth Rambow noticed after receiving his cochlear implant was birds chirping: “I haven’t heard that in 20 years,” said Rambow, a patient at the University of Washington Medical Center. In this program, he tells how his hearing deficit brought him to Dr. Jay Rubinstein, and together they discuss the surgery, rehabilitation and life-changing results. Rambow’s implant procedure is shown and Rubenstein delivers a historical perspective on the implants.
