Historians are re-discovering the contributions of African Americans, recognizing their impact as a people and exploring race relations as they played out in the wild West. In this series, Quintard Taylor focuses on African American history in terms of forming communities, combating racism, and changing social and political patterns in the development of the American West. This series is presented by the University of Washington College of Arts and Sciences and the Alumni Association.
