Epidemiology: Introduction to Epidemiologic Methods This series provides viewers with a basic understanding of epidemiologic methods. It is intended for health professionals who are considering using epidemiologic study designs in their research, and for those who need a firm grounding in epidemiologic principles to interpret research results critically. The programs cover several specific study designs, including randomized trials, cohort studies and case-control studies. The lectures were taped at the 2004 Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Clinical Research Methods Summer Session co-sponsored by the Seattle VA Epidemiologic Research and Information Center (ERIC) and the University of Washington.
